Restorative Yoga Classes
Restorative Yoga Classes
While on a mission to deeply understand the science behind the neurological benefits of yoga, Mellisa attended a comprehensive three-week immersion program taught by the Dr. Liz Lindh in Costa Rica. Her goal was to equip herself with knowledge that would allow her to effectively share the transformative experience of Restorative Yoga. This unique practice comprises a series of slow-moving classes that are thoughtfully designed to be suitable for individuals of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. It skillfully incorporates deep stretches, prolonged holds, and soothing music, with optional aromatherapy enhancements to create a truly calming environment. This mindful practice comes highly recommended for those seeking relief from symptoms of anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, and ADHD, Through its strong emphasis on supported, passive poses and intentional deep breathing, restorative yoga directly stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which is essential for promoting the body’s "rest and digest" functions.
The Libertine Wellness offers both in-home and group classes.
